Gambling and TV news reports are claiming TV execs are going to get rid of the regularly watched us poker show, High Stakes.
A lot of websites are saying that because of management changes the cash TV show will be gone before the end of the year to every ones surprise.
One of the hosts AJ Benza has said that he know the show is ending and its never coming back to everyones dismay.
The channel and network is going to try a different way forward and that is not good for the the show in general. Even though the show is the number one show on the network.
When the show was introduced the show was very individual and offer certain cash games instead of tourneys for all public watchers. Top professionals including Daniel Negreanu, Doyle Brunson & Sammy Farha would play in a cash matches; regularly for $100,000. Sometimes the pot got to 1 million dollars and the viewers tuned in accordingly.

This is A.J. Benza, and I NEVER said I “know the show isnt coming back.” I said, no one has contacted me and that I heard the network is going in a different direction. Other than that…I have no idea whether or not HSP is coming back. I was just lamenting the fact that none of the network folks have told us either way for many months now.
