There is a poker match being hosted locally to me near Manchester, and it will gather some of the best poker players from the area and give out some of the biggest prizes I have seen for a general poker match. It is said that the prize of nearly £100,000 will also tempt in some of the worlds best but I’m yet to believe this until it happens.

The entry fee is £1000 and will see over 200 players but only 110, so far have registered. The expected attendance should be over 200 and hopefully will generate the best poker around here for years. The match is scheduled for October the 17Th and unfortunately for me I will be away and not able to join in the fun.

Last time the match was held its main prize was £50000 and hundreds of people of turned up and luckily I bagged a last table seat which earned me a few grand but I’m sure when people here about the tournament that is back in town they will jump at the chance despite the entrance fee.
