Counting cards winner

So with my bet of Birmingham coming in yesterday I’m quite a lot up which gives me the chance to do quite a bit a spread betting today.

These are the games on offer:-

13:30 West Ham vs Bolton
15:00 Chelsea vs Aston Villa
15:00 Man City vs Liverpool
15:00 Portsmouth vs Stoke
15:00 Tottenham vs Hull
16:00 Everton vs Newcastle

I will definitely be having a bet on Everton beating Newcastle as that seems like the easy money but as I already have a bet on Hull to beat spurs the other bets will go on the following respectively.

West Ham Win, Chelsea win, and Man city to take down Liverpool.

All these bets will be singles and hopefully if they all come in it could be a great start to October.

The other slight bet m having with my girlfriend is that when I lend her sister some money that I will not see it when she gets paid as that has never happened before and if I win she has to pay me the same amount so its a win, win situation for me all round.

Todays games

So stupidly or not I’m going to bet on today’s games I cant help but have a small punt. The bet that stands out the most is Hull to beat Tottenham hotspur.

Originally Spurs would have been favorites to win the game but as they seem to only win in Europe and cant win in the league its the newly promoted Hull that are take the favorites odds.

Sky bet are offering odds of 4/1 for a hull win. Now as Hull are coming off the back of a win over high flying Arsenal its probably worth a tenner and hopefully it will come in.

The second single bet I’m going to try today is the game between Birmingham and QPR, its a early kick off set it will set the scene for the day and I’m going to put the win on Birmingham.

The accumulator will see a small bet on Man Untied to beat Blackburn away, and Arsenal beat Sunderland away it gives me quite good odds but not brilliant.

But lets have a better October.

Poker in Manchester 2008

Posted by Alan | Gambling,poker | Friday 3 October 2008 2:00 am

There is a poker match being hosted locally to me near Manchester, and it will gather some of the best poker players from the area and give out some of the biggest prizes I have seen for a general poker match. It is said that the prize of nearly £100,000 will also tempt in some of the worlds best but I’m yet to believe this until it happens.

The entry fee is £1000 and will see over 200 players but only 110, so far have registered. The expected attendance should be over 200 and hopefully will generate the best poker around here for years. The match is scheduled for October the 17Th and unfortunately for me I will be away and not able to join in the fun.

Last time the match was held its main prize was £50000 and hundreds of people of turned up and luckily I bagged a last table seat which earned me a few grand but I’m sure when people here about the tournament that is back in town they will jump at the chance despite the entrance fee. So will you be interested as just let me know and I will send you the details? Some people have Jennifer Tilly will be there so why miss out.

PFA Player of the year

Counting cards is having a punt on the player of the year award nice and early, I know the season has just started but I’m trying to get good odds that i missed out on last year for the Players Football Association (PFA) player of the year competition. Obviously the usual suspect are there but who do you fancy with all the new faces?

The regulars that I mentioned include Ronaldo at 2/1, Fabregas 11/1, Gerrard 10/1 & Torres at 9/1 but as you can imagine some new faces and people lower down the list of stars are getting heavy bets. Lets list them, the Brazilian boy wonder Robinho 6.5/1, Berbatov 15/1 or no one as mentioned Deco at 11/1. So what does it take to win the prestigious trophy.

The normal routine for the winner is, he must play for a team that shines in the season by winning cups or titles and normally perform well for country as well as club. This posses the question does Rooney need better recognition for his dedication to England? Can even Robin van Persie’s come through the cloud and make a push for the title or will Ronaldo keep the vote from the players especially after his summer antics?

I’m going for Robniho.

Tottenham going down

Posted by Alan | Gambling | Wednesday 1 October 2008 2:00 am

Counting cards advice for this football season is to stick a small bet nice and early on the chance of Tottenham Hotspur going down. Now its not normal that I gamble on a teams fate as the league never shows its true reflection until after Christmas but when reports keep telling me that Spurs have less points than Derby did last year at this time of the season and the odds you can get on last seasons Carling cup holders.

The other one I’m going to stick a bet on is Newcastle, they are just getting beat off everyone and all the usual suspects also known as the new boys Stoke, Hull and West Brom just keep accumulating points, the odds you can get get on Spurs going down is 11/1 and Newcastle 4/1 so I think its worth a single bet and a double of 44/1 just to get the early bets.
