Diem Thi Tan was given a $450 fine for dumping and locking her kids in the car whilst she played in a poker charity event. Even better the mother of 3 has not only been give the hefty fine but has also been ordered to have parenting lessons.

Counting cards announced that the 3 children were spotted by a police unit at 1am in the morning and there were all below the age of 15 as on was only 5 years old. The police broke into the car and released the children, they questioned them and found that they thought they had been locked in the car for 3 hours but the mother had been playing for 6 so I’m guessing nearer that time.

Counting cards is happy that this is a rare situation in the world of gambling but addictions do crazy things and I’m glad that she is getting the help she needs.
