It has been rumored that Asian developments in Canada is going to build a casino in Vietnam for a cost of £4.5 million and now the rumors have come true. I’m guessing this will be the first of many casinos in the area and hopefully it will help with jobs and infrastructure.

The Ho Tram casino will be developed close to Ho Chi Minh City will allow everyone to gamble and relax whilst enjoying all the pleasures of the casino. The license has been granted to produce the casino so it will now revolutionize the gaming industry in vietnam.

We wont see the completion until 2011 but my guess is Vietnam will become an over night hot spot for gambling.

In a motion which has rocked the casino world Ivy Ong, of El Paso, in deep Texas has had a 39 month sentence applied and is off to prison for bribing gambling officials in return for gambling contracts. It turns out that the deals were disguised by Ong by appearing as machine teller rather than a manager of games. This meant that non of his past history was discovered until it was too late. The overall scheme let Ong run the casinos through the carlo world company taking 40% of the net profits And the other 60% going directly to the tribe which is unheard of. Ong simply after being caught gave up the game and to his dismay once he handed back the casino and all the homes and assets he had scooped he was fined around £200k. This only proves that the casino industry if rife with cash but the cash can make people do bad things in the light of things. There have also been multiple arrests of the people trying to cover up the scheme but the truth truly does hurt, unlucky Ong. I dont think we will see ONG BAK. lol
