A Canadian man who won the $1 million first prize at a poker tourney in Spain at the weekend said his idea was to take enough from the tourney to see his grand daughter finish uni.

Jack Hinchey currently playing out of Oshawa said that his 10 year old little grand daughter, Victoria couldn’t get out of his mind through out the whole tournament, in which he played against a lot of the worlds greatest players.

After completely dominating the World Poker Crown, Hinchey arrived at home Sunday night with all his family plus friends to sing his praises when he showed up.

Hinchey, the unknown has been hovering around the poker scene give a take, 30 years, he said the competition began through a Internet tourney, where he beat over 2,000 gamblers. Last week, he spoke out and said that the main top 10 gamblers were flown out to Barcelona for a epic match in a amazing Spanish castle called Peralada.

The plumber who is nearly 50 said the cash win is a “surreal amazing experience” plus he had “the best week of his life.”

Throughout the UK, a research study from the Gambling Commission has shown that the amount of adults playing in online forms of gambling has stayed at a static 8.8 percent for the whole year even though the removed restrictions on advertising.

The GC is the group that regulates all forms of gambling throughout the UK and the results came after a national client sample survey of 8,000 users ran by research company ICM.

Removing remote inclusion on the National Lottery, the study showed that 5.1% of people taking part had played online or used a mobile phone or interactive TV through the past month in comparison to 5.2 percent of 12 months ago.
