While it is awkward but not impossible to make cash on casino floors, Australian Casino the crown has owned up to the loss of a £100,000 chip from a high close nit security section of the casinos back office. The stolen chip appears to have been taken in 06 & even though nobody heard of it there and then, one of the major newspaper in OZ has got details of the theft from the freedom of information act. So what just how did it happen?

As it turns out someone unknown simply woke up one day and pocketed a £100,000 chip from the Victoria casino, walking away without discovery, even though the casino has a mass of cameras in place & grilling a lot of staff there is no sign of the skilled thief or the £100,000 chip. The casino is still down a massive $100,000 and I reckon someone is sat at home rubbing there grubby little hands!

Although its not clear what actually happened, this theft is rocking many in the industry who thought that casinos such as Crown had not only perfect security but a high tech camera array that should find everything. It is now known that security and the camera array have under gone a massive upgrade but the $100,000 chip is still no where to be seen and i don’t think it will ever turn up.
