It is hard to think of a few English or British poker players who have topped the £2 million milestone in poker wins.

Dave the devil fish Ulliott is one of these and for the life of me I can only think of 1 more, Roland the legend De wolfe. Marty Smyth is the Irish legend who has nearly done it for Ireland as he cashed in £250,000 last Saturday.

His current tournament winnings stand at £1.75 mil but with his recent record I don’t think it will be long before he tops £2 million.

Smyth claimed £500,000 and also stole £867,546 due to Ladbrokes and their Poker Million, also he took a substantial amount from Irish Poker Open events and cashed in on £100,000 at other poker events.

The biggest amount has come from the Irish poker tourneys and amounts up to £1.2 million!!

I’m guessing he will be all over the up and coming events.

There are two weeks until the prestige-st world poker series and if you truly care for the game you might want to try and get a seat. Of course, you have the option of paying the $10k buy in or if you’re cunning, you can get a free seat. There is an option where you can qualify up to 3 times a day.

You need to register at Bodog poker. Bo-dog want 100 players or representatives to go to Vegas and represent them. Once you have registered you can buy a semi final seat or you can be a cheap skate and work your way up to that stage. Definitely check it out as it could be you sat in Vegas playing your socks off and you could be the next big thing. 5 chairs a week will be registered for the wsop in May, so get on the band wagon and make some history now… I know I’m going to try.
