Tom Dwan showed that he is better than just a random poker player over this weekend.

Showing his skills in the no limit Texas hold’em poker tournament by ending up ninth in the World Poker Tour (WPT) Championship which was run in the past 7 days, the online genius showed his talent for pot-limit Omaha, winning $150k in one game, said PokerStrategy.com.

The amount is pretty close to the same as his win from the WPT comp, where he won $184,k.

The majority of Dwan’ winnings from the Omaha game happened in a crazy hand up against a player called lady marmelade, in which he collected a pot of $112k, after battering his challengers set of sevens with an outstanding three aces.

Dwan, aka Durrr online, has won most of his cash at Texas hold’em, but yet to record a notable pot-limit Omaha win to his ever growing record.

The self named Durr came 2nd at 2008’s Aussie Millions, collecting $90k for his entry and skillful play.

The largest change of the UK’s gambling rules for over 30 years has been revealed, opening the door for a Las Vegas theme casino and places in holiday areas like Blackpool.

Tight rules made on gaming’s industry in the 1960s forced by concern of gangster propaganda are to be binned or massively relaxed.

It will be made simple for casinos to be built/run and gambling clubs will be permitted to offer a massive option of games, with over tempting jackpots.

Casinos can then give entertainment and alcohol on the gambling tables.

The goverment say they want to revolutionise the whole gambling in the uk and make it more “mainstream”.

Google is now making foreign legislation legal thoughout the UK and this has been happening for quite a while now, and they are losing thousands and thousands through it. Throughout the whole of the UK gambling is a great and legal hobby/sport with regulated bodies, and knowing this the ever legimate Google won’t let anybody place any gambling adverts on Adwords for any gambling relavant keywords. Howcome? Why does banning advertisers for things like Lets Gamble or Online Gambling really matter, you tell me? If anyone has any good ideas of how to get round this please share.

The state laws in Atlanta are pretty strict when it comes to gambling. Michael and Michele Hardin filed a lawsuit against NBC’s ‘Deal Or No Deal’ gameshow, saying that they had broken the law by inviting viewers to text in to take part in a game.

The couple said the show’s text competition was an illegal gambling contract so they, and all other viewers, should get their 99 cents back!

Luckily, the Georgia Supreme Court saw sense and threw the case out of court, saying that a text message is not a bet and the feature was promotional, not gambling.

This weekend involved not only gambling on Football but gambling with my life due to the mass amounts of alcohol consumed, the event started at 12am as we ventured out to Stockport county football ground on a work excursion. The idea was to drink until we fell over and we just didnt fall. We must have had 7 rounds before the game and a couple at half time, then beer on the train home and beer once home. It was a messy affair up until then. I nipped home had small amounts of food, then back out gambling with my life, i didnt stop drinking until early hours of the morning. Im sure i took a year off my life and to my suprise i was able to play football the next day. So i think the gamble paid off. My suggestion is to always drink till everything goes clear, dedication i call it.

So the gambling at work has continued with the manager betting a days worth of free drinks on the reps hitting targets, he is currently winning hands down but one of the lads is in with a chance with 10 minutes left. He has also bet me on the chance of myself bringing in my first order for a free Friday lunch. I’m not holding out much hope and I’m working my ass off. I’m starting to think most gambling either comes down to Beer or Food when money isn’t involved. I’m just planning on cashing in on the free drinks…..
