Free Vegas breakfasts

Posted by jw | Vegas News | Tuesday 22 January 2008 11:03 pm

Up until the end of February, the El Cortez (in downtown) is offering free breakfasts to those who stay for three days concurrently.

Not sure if you understand just how bad food is in Vegas for us brits, so although it sounds good, it wouldnt sway me to stay anywhere.

A good tip is to eat brekkie at the Venetian each morning as its the closest you will get to an English fry-up!

Moody Blues in Las Vegas

Posted by jw | Vegas News | Sunday 20 January 2008 12:54 pm

Being from the midlands, the Moody Blues have always been one of my favourite bands, even though I’m only 31 and most of their hits were made before I was 5!

I have just found that they are playing Planet Hollywood in March (on the 15th) - and I am gutted because I will be in Sweden at the time :(

I would love to be there.

The TV will be available next year.

In the UK, we get the occasional hedgehog or mole in our gardens, in Las Vegas they get mountain lions!

In the north west of Vegas this week a mountain lion was found in a backyard after jumping over a fence.  Following a search that lasted over 3 hours, it was captured and tranquilised without suffering too much harm.

The lion is now under observation by the Nevada state wildlife department and will be released back to the wild in the not too distant future.

Cash poker at Imperial Palace

Posted by jw | Vegas News | Wednesday 2 January 2008 9:30 am

Decided to try my hand at a cash game while James was playing the Venetian. James said to play a $1 and $2 game, but wasn’t really sure what this meant so when the card room manager said they only had a free seat on a $2 and $4 limit table I thought it cant be that different. Also, when I first started to play poker I did well in limit games. (more…)
