Insane poker bluff

Posted by Alan | poker | Monday 13 October 2008 7:40 am

So I was bored the other day and i was trawling through some of the great hands you can watch on youtube and I came across, the guy Scotty Nguyen just has whats known in the industry as alls of steel and how to rub it in after the hand is over. Watch.

The great bit is a the start when he says 21 like he is raising to 21 thousand and its actually only 12 thousand then he re-raises a guy who has Ace, 10 against a 3, 8 off suit to over 100,000.

The cheek of it afterwards he shows the hand and takes the mick by saying he thought he was playing Black Jack and chasing the 21.

I love the fact that the Legend took down some wannabe in a shell suit track suit who thought he could mix it with the big boys.

DANIEL NEGREANU reads the future

Posted by Alan | Gambling,Vegas News,poker | Thursday 9 October 2008 2:00 am

This is an old clip but Daniel Negreane is playing one on one with a old time player called Jerry Russ and for most of the match Jerry called out what card he thought was coming next, then when it finally came down to it on the last hand when both players were all in Negreanu turns the table on its head by calling out what the turn card will be and the river and predicts both getting him a straight flush to win the match.

Now I’m playing a match next week and I’m thinking if it can work once I’m sure it can work twice so I’m going to try it as a put off technique but video it as it happens to prove it if it works.

What this clip of Negreanu who again reads another player and predicts the cards again this guy really does have a sixth sense.

I need to get some mystic meg skills or learn how to read players better rather than drinking all game long.

Wsop counting cards reports

Posted by Alan | Vegas News,poker | Monday 6 October 2008 2:00 am

The wsop is over and no one would have said it would have taken a record 484 hands that award the winner with the greatest crown available in poker which was awarded at Leicester square in London. Take a bow John Juanda who claimed the title for America which is also  first plus claiming a massive $1,598,587 jackpot. Now if we look at the actual stats you will find that the final wasn’t easy for John Juanda and he earned that cash!

The actual time for this was 19 hours and 10 minutes and took 484 hands to complete. This is now in the Guinness book of world records and is the longest final ever at the World Series of Poker and I don’t think it will ever be beat!

So who is John Juanda?

The now legend has entered the WSOP 45 times and he has been on the final table 23 times. Born in Indonesia the new poker star now resides in the USA in which he studies MBA.

This is obviously John Juanda’s largest win of jackpots but if you track his earlier career he has won multiple  $100,000 pots so we knew he could eventually do it!

Poker in Manchester 2008

Posted by Alan | Gambling,poker | Friday 3 October 2008 2:00 am

There is a poker match being hosted locally to me near Manchester, and it will gather some of the best poker players from the area and give out some of the biggest prizes I have seen for a general poker match. It is said that the prize of nearly £100,000 will also tempt in some of the worlds best but I’m yet to believe this until it happens.

The entry fee is £1000 and will see over 200 players but only 110, so far have registered. The expected attendance should be over 200 and hopefully will generate the best poker around here for years. The match is scheduled for October the 17Th and unfortunately for me I will be away and not able to join in the fun.

Last time the match was held its main prize was £50000 and hundreds of people of turned up and luckily I bagged a last table seat which earned me a few grand but I’m sure when people here about the tournament that is back in town they will jump at the chance despite the entrance fee. So will you be interested as just let me know and I will send you the details? Some people have Jennifer Tilly will be there so why miss out.

Counting cards announces free bets

Posted by Alan | Gambling,Las Vegas roadtrips,Vegas News,Vegas information,poker | Friday 26 September 2008 2:00 am

Counting cards can announce that one of the major poker sites out there is doing an amazing offer of sign up and simply receive £600 free to bet with. Betfair is running this offer for a week only and will honour the offer as long as you spend the money in house, any winnings you can acquire you can keep and take home and spend on what you like.

I signed up and gambled all the six hundred in only ten minutes as it wasn’t mine, and ended up winning over £200 which I put into one of my regular accounts and bet quite a bit of it on the football for this weekend. If you also sign up-to William hill you can get £250 but only if its your first time.

There were many more websites with all sorts of offers, I’ve chosen a few from the list based on their requirements and ease of sign-up. I’ve missed some good offers off because they require unique promotional vouchers, which require you to register for several other websites.

Here’s a list of the other offers I found:

  • Will Hill Poker – £250 welcome bonus
  • Betfair Poker – $600 welcome bonus
  • Paddy Power Poker – $600 sign-up offer
  • Paddy Power Poker – $600 welcome bonus
  • Ladbrokes Poker – welcome bonus up to $500
  • Betfred – $600 welcome bonus
  • PartyPoker.com – free $100 welcome bonus
  • 32 Red Poker.com – $35 welcome bonus

Counting cards announces Germany bans online poker

Posted by Alan | Gambling,poker | Wednesday 24 September 2008 2:00 am

There has been a move which will definitely put Germany at loggerheads against its EU partners and the reason is online poker has now been made officially illegal anywhere in Germany plus the people caught will be prosecuted. Its obvious that there are plenty of online poker sites still in action in Germany but no one has been prosecuted yet but is the government starting to change its feelings against the online poker community.

The people found playing online poker may not be prosecuted but there may be underhand techniques which will take advantage of this but how?

Germans or players of poker in Germany with a German I.P address may find if they win that they cannot get there winnings. The poker site could simply say you have a German I.P address and we cannot legally pay out any winnings as its illegal. The person who is trying to get there winnings would not have a leg to stand on even if they took it to court.

Any sort of online poker in Germany will definitely be a risk!

Counting cards Nokia 6500 for gambling

Posted by Alan | Gambling,poker | Monday 22 September 2008 10:57 am

Counting cards is pleased to announce that, the Nokia 6500 Slide is probably the best phone out there for Gambling online or via a mobile handset.

Not only does the screen have crystal clarity but has a 3.2 mega-pixel camera and 3g TV conferencing.

The screen is is giant in comparison to other handsets and is able to flip images or java games vertical or horizontal, it has an amazing talk time of up to 6 hours which is pretty much the same when it comes to playing games and as most gamblers know, playing a hand of poker or other forms of gambling never take a few minutes but normally a few hours if played properly.

The actual size of the screen is 33.5 x 44.7 mm and it allows the user to use over 16 million colours.

The phone comes installed with a high-roller casino which includes “Hold’Em Poker”, “Hold’Em Poker Tournament”, “Video poker” and “Black Jack”

They are great games as a teaser but it the online capabilities that make the phone so good.

So if its online mobile phone gambling you need or love playing I would definitely recommend this phone as another good point is you can upgrade your phone memory to 4gb and store all the games you want.

WSOP traffic

Posted by Alan | Vegas News,poker | Monday 22 September 2008 2:00 am

I have been writing a lot about the WSOP and now the interest in poker websites has grown and grown some people say its to do with the downfall of the Lehman Brothers and it seems that there may be more to this. All of the really big poker sites have shown a massive increase in traffic – and a lot of them have gained over a 30% rise in September – so is this a phase? Why is poker not affected by the recession?

There are hundreds of opinions and ideas why this is happening in the past few weeks, one is Lehman’s downfall, the WSOP, the WCOOP plus general popular growth. I think the WSOP is the main culprit and I think its the main reason every year it gets bigger and better even stronger.

I just hope all this continues as I love the game and the thrill of winning.

Long Live Poker.

Warren Cloud

Posted by Alan | Gambling,Vegas News,poker | Sunday 21 September 2008 2:00 am

A while ago I posted the terrible news that Mr Warren Cloud had met his maker and pasted away on a boat in the waters of Ibiza via a massive heart attack.

Ever since then I have hundreds of emails asking me how, when, where, and all imaginative questions since then.

I never realised how popular or hated Warren Cloud also known as Oliver Curran actually was.

It turns out that he wasn’t just a rogue casino owner but a respected and feared man who have a massive influence over thousands of people all over the world.

The question is how has he affected your life was it in a good or bad way. I know personally his infamous site banned my account mysteriously one day keeping the funds in it, fortunately it was only a small amount so I didn’t kick up that much of a fuss.

Have these sites improved?

Crystal Palace
High Rollers Lounge
Vegas Riches
Americas Online
American Grand Casino
Golden Nile Casino
Lucky Coin Casino
Lucky Pyramid Casino
Royal Circus Casino
Vegas Frontier Casino

I have used these sites in the past and always had issues and I’m wondering now has anything changed now the infamous Warren Cloud has moved on to a higher plane of existence.

Or is it simply still the iron fist being ruled by someone else?

Negreanu sits up top

Posted by Alan | Vegas News,poker | Saturday 20 September 2008 3:12 pm

At the beginning of this summer Daniel Negreanu took his 4Th World Series of Poker tournament and bracelet by winning match #20 it was a $2,000  and had a Limit Hold ‘em, now after the first day of play in the WSOP of Poker hosted in London he is sitting in the number one spot and looking to capture a championship bracelet on two sides of the Atlantic setting a new record.

This is the 1st of 2 Days and has over 191 players. If the 2nd Day 1 is recorded at over 171 players it will definitely break a record at the WSOPE event. But ignore the records as everybody is talking about the guy called “Kid Poker”.

Negreanu actually finished the first day at the top with 74,900 chips which gives a lead of just 2,100 in front of Jason Gray, but the 3rd place is 17,900 behind. David La Ronde. Two face who were casualties were Michel Abecassis & Davood Mehrmand.
